Renee Elizabeth Trudeau, 27, of Taylorville, passed away at 11:45am Monday, March 8, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born August 4, 1982 in Springfeild, Massachusetts, the daughter of Renne R and Debra Elizabeth Britton Trudeau, Jr. She was a student at LLCC studying Medical Transcription. She has been employed at TLC in Taylorville, Building Blocks South in Springfield and St Mary's before and after school care. She has also been a volunteer at AWHS and St Patrick School in Decatur.
She is survived by her parents of Taylorville, 1 sister of Decatur, grandparents: Cletus Britton of Pana, Rene R Trudeau Sr of Chicope, Massachusetts, JoAnn Stefanovic of Holyoke, Massachusetts, 1 niece, 2 nephews and 12 aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her materanl grandmother: Margaret Britton.
Funeral services will be held at 9am Saturday March 13, 2010 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville with Father Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Eiler Cemetery in Tower Hill. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00pm Friday at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville.

Edward Orson Neikes, 90, of Taylorville, passed away at 4:40pm March 2, 2010 at Taylorville Care Center. He was born December 24, 1919 in Taylorville, the son of Frank and Georgia(Hancock)Neikes. He married Lila L Oates on December 31, 1943. She preceded him in death March 24, 2005. He was a professional photographer. He owned and operated Eddy's Studio in Taylorville. He was an US Army Veteran serving in the Army Air Corps during WWII.
He is survived by son: Danny (wife Peggy) Neikes of Mesa, AZ, 2 grandchildren, 1 brother, 1 sister and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Saturday, March 13, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00am in Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Father Alan Hunter officiating. Cremation rites were accorded.

Larry L Menin, 77, of Nokomis, passed away at 4:23am March 9, 2010 at his residence. He was born October 7, 1932 in Nokomis, the son of Frank & Bertha Dall (Mulla) Menin. He married Shirley Williams on May 8, 1966 in Vandalia. He was a Barber and then worked at Central Illinois Stone and Material Services. He was a member of St Louis Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and President of Nokomis Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, son: Frank Menin of Gilbert, AZ, daughters: Teresa (husband John) Stephens of Nokomis, Tamra (husband Mike) Stone of Springfield, 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, mother-in-law: Eileen Willaims, 1 sister, 1 sister in law and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, 1 son, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00pm in Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis with Wake Service at 7:45pm. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at 10:00am in St Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis with Father Dan Willenborg officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Nokomis.

Gregory J Curry, 52, of Taylorville, formerly of Springfield, IL, passed away at 7:30am March 7, 2010 in Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Pana after a courageous and inspiring battle with cancer. He was born November 22, 1957 in Springfield, IL, the son of George B & Geraldine F (Ridgeway)Curry. He married Maureen B Mahan in Taylorville on June 27, 1992. He was a Journeyman Roofer for Henson Robinson Co.
He is survived by his wife, brother: Glenn Curry of Springfield, Father-in-Law: Wayne Mahan, brothers-in-law:Gregory (wife Barbara) Mahan, William (wife Karen) Mahan, David (fiance' Patty Taglioli) Mahan, Evan (wife Donna) Mahan, sisters-in-law: Myra (fiance' Jeff Boaden) Moffitt, Michelle(husband Clete) Edwards, 14 neices and nephews, 1 great niece and 1 great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and mother in law.

Dorothy Rose Held, 83, of Morrisonville, passed away Saturday March 6, 2010 at 11:12pm at Taylorville Care Center. She was born November 10, 1926 in Morrisonville, the daughter of Harold and Florence (Millburg) Grundy. She married Lawrence "Tuffy" Held on January 28, 1947 at St Maurice Catholic Church in Morrisonville. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St Maurice Catholic Church, Alter and Rosary Society, National Catholic Society of Foresters St Maurice Court 743 and Christian County Democratic Women.
She is survived by sons: Bernie (wife Jane) Held of Plainfield, IL, Dean (wife Viv)Held of Chatham, Paul (wife Dee) Held, Danny (wife Carrie) Held, Jerry (wife Marcy) Held all of Taylorville, Ed (wife Cinda) Held of Strasburg, Kenny (wife Diane) Held of Rockford, Howard (wife Linda) Held of Highland, 20 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 1 brother.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. The rosary will be recited at 8:00pm.
