Keeping the Christian County Millenials in the county as entrepreneurs, was the topic of a presentation from Jack Schultz and former Taylorville native Craig Lindvahl, during the Friday’s annual meeting and luncheon of the Christian County Economic Development Corporation. Almost 100 attended the luncheon and presentation from the pair, which have created a program for high school students called “Creating Entrepreneur Opportunities” or the C-E-O program.
Schultz, which is a south central Illinois entrepreneur himself and resides in Effingham, told the group Millenials look at things much differently than Baby Boomers.
Lindvahl, who grew up in Taylorville, told the local economic development gathering about how he learned the attitudes of Millenials as a long-time teacher.
The pair encouraged the Christian County businesspeople in attendance, to pay attention to the Millenials in coming years if they wanted them to stay in the county and become entrepreneurs themselves.
