The Christian County LEADership program had the opportunity to hear from local elected officials over the last week. Linda Smith from the program said it was a great experience to hear from the local officials, and why the ran for their current positions. She said it was a different prospective to speak with them in a one on one setting.

Smith describes the experience as a great opportunity for LEAD participants, if they’re interested in running for positions in the future.

LEAD also got to hear from retired Ilinois 4th Judicial Circuit Court Judge, Ron Spears, who spoke about Abraham Lincoln’s connections with Christian County.
