The first Tuesday of the month of December was supposed to be a test of Taylorville’s emergency sirens. However, with the recent tornado that hit Taylorville, the test was not supposed to be activated, but a technology issue caused the sirens to ring. Taylorville Fire Chief Mike Crews explains the issue.

Crews also reassures that everything is back to normal. The sounding of the sirens was just a monthly test, and there is nothing to worry about.
