The Christian County Board acknowledge several early retirements at their meeting Tuesday night. Those who were recognized were: Jim Brown, Denise McCullough, Joe McAvoy, Allen Sims, Ruth Tucker, Anita Lemanski, and Bev Merano. All were presented with a plaque for their service.

Glen L. Dyer, 72, of Taylorville, passed away May 20, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. He was born September 26, 1940 in Virginia, IL. The Son of Joseph Glen and Margerite Trene (Mclin) Dyer. He married Patsy Wilkerson on October 6, 1962 in Springfield, IL. He worked as a phone operator.
