THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:
Joshua D. Hill, 39, of 350 Central Avenue, Kincaid, was arrested October 14 on a warrant for criminal damage to property.
Darlene M. Miller, 41, of 2721 North 2199 East Road, Blue Mound, was arrested October 14 for domestic battery.
THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENTS:
On October 8, Harold E. Gist, 72, of Taylorville was traveling east on Spresser Street and was stopped at the intersection of Webster and Spresser. Gist was stopped waiting to turn north on Webster Street. Raymond C. Brunk, 41, of Tovey was traveling was on Park Street and was traveling through the intersection of Park and Webster. Brunk had a green light and was proceeding through the intersection. Gist, who did not see Brunk, attempted to turn north onto Webster Street, causing a collision. Gist had to be towed from the scene and Brunk was able to drive away from the scene. No injuries were reported.
On October 12, Kenneth L. Moomey Jr., 21, of Taylorville was waiting at the intersection of Madison and Spresser Streets. Darrell G. Church, 71, of Stonington was attempting to turn onto Madison Street from Spresser Street. Moomey thought that Church was going to continue traveling westbound so he looked the other way and proceeded into the intersection and struck Church. Madison said he was going to turn onto Madison when Moomey pulled out of the intersection and hit the side of his vehicle. No injuries were reported and both units were able to drive away from the scene.
