Area Arrests 5-7-13

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

On May 3, at 7:39 p.m. Taylorville Police Officers made a stop in the 1500 block of West Elm.  Antonio Haynes, 31, of Springfield was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, look alike substance and obstructing.

While investigating a suspicious vehicle on call, Amanda Carnahan, 32, of Taylorville, was arrested for possession of cannabis.  She was transported to the Taylorvile Police Department, processed and released on a notice to appear. 

On May 5, at 2:22 a.m., officers arrived at the Loading Zone in reference to an unconscious male outside the bar.  He was identified as Dustin M. Miller, 29, of Mount Pulaski.  He was found to have a Montgomery County warrant.  He was transported to the Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond. 

On May 5, at 5:35 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of E. Main Cross in reference to a female subject passed out behind the wheel of her SUV.  Subsequent to investigation, Carrie J.Thompson, 24, of Taylorville, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

A Taylorville Police Department officer was on patrol and observed a vehicle with a female driver traveling North on Houston Street.  A check was made through the Law Enforecement Agency Data System showed the registered female owner of the vehicle had a suspended Illinois license.  The driver was identified as Anna Lorenston, 38, of Taylorville.  She was placed under arrest and transported to the Taylorville Police Department.  She was then processed and released on a notice to appear. 

On May 6, in the early morning hours officers were dispatched to the 800 block of East Franklin Street in reference to a fight in the street.  The suspects fled the area on foot just before the officers arrived.  A female juvenile was located in the 900 block of East Franklin Street.  She was arrested for illegal consumption by a minor.  She was transported to the Taylorville Police Department for procerssing.  The juvenile was relealsed to her parent.
