THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:
Nathaniel L Howell, 34, of 15 East Lawn, Taylorville, was arrested on March 12 for purchase of methanphetamine precursor, possession of methanphetamine manufacturing material, methanphetamine manufacturing.
THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:
A Taylorville Police Officer was out on a traffic stop and observed a male subject leaving the area in a red vehicle. The male subject, George T. Bailey, 39, of Taylorville had a valid warrant out of Sangamon County. The stop on the vehicle was made in the 300 block of West Market Street. His information was ran through the Law Enforcement Agency Data System and verified the warrant. Bailey was placed under arrest and transported to the Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.
On March 10, Mark Zuber of Taylorville was slowing for traffic, and Gloria Lynn did not slow down and struck Zuber in his 2011 Ford pick up.
On March 3, Sara Sunderland was traveling north on Shawnee when her vehicle veered to the right and struck a utility pole. Sunderland was unsure why her vehicle struck the pole. Her 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo had front passenger side damage and was towed from the scene by Taylorville towing.
On March 9, Austin Moore of Taylorville was turning east onto West Franklin Street from south Cheyenne when he lost control of his motorcycle. Moore advised his 2006 Kawasaki slid across the lane into Christopher Morgason 2000 Dodge Caravan who was traveling west on west Franklin. Moore was issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle.
