THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:
Markee Bayne, 20, of 300 North PawPaw Street, Taylorville, was arrested January 13 for domestic battery.
Dirk C. Taylor, 714 North Poplar Street, Pana, was arrested January 13 for aggravated battery.
THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:
On January 13 at 1:30pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer was on patrol and saw a silver Oldsmobile with an expire license plate. The officer stopped the vehicle at East Main Cross and Walnut Street and asked the drive, who was identified as Jessica Mizeur, for her driver license and insurance card. Mizeur gave me a Illinois Identification Card. The officer ran her name through Taylorville Police Department dispatch Law Enforcement Agencies Data System. Mizeur's driver's license came back suspended. Mizeur was placed under arrest for driving suspended. The officer transported her to Taylorville Police Department where she was processed and released on a notice to appear. Mizeur was written a citation for driving suspended.
On January 13 at 9:51 am, Taylorville Police Department officers were advised by Christian County dispatch of a domestic dispute in the Sheriff's Department parking lot. Officers arrived and the male, identified as David Younker, stated as he was driving, his girlfriend Markee Bayne, 20, of Taylorville punched him in the right eye. An officer observed a red mark around the right eye of Younker. Younker wished to sign a complaint and Bayne was arrested for domestic battery.
On January 13, Traci R. Dyer-Townsend, 27, of Decatur was traveling easy on Lincoln Trail when a deer crossed in front of her. Dyer-Townsend struck the deer which killed it. No injuries were reported.
